Per person

  • 2:00 am: Departure from Lima in private transportation toward Queropalca (approximately 8 to 10 hours with stops).
  • 10:00 am: Arrival in Queropalca (12,631 ft / 3850 m). Meet with the muleteer, pack donkeys, cook, and assistant.
  • 11:00 am: Start of the hike toward the Carhuacocha campsite (approximately 3 to 4 hours).
  • 3:30 pm: Arrival at the campsite on the shores of the lake. Tent setup. Hot dinner and rest.

  • Private transportation: Lima – Queropalca
  • Muleteer + donkeys for equipment transport
  • Cook and camp assistant – lunch, hot dinner + infusions
  • Shared tent for two people, kitchen tent, dining tent, and utensils

  • 6:00 am: Energizing breakfast.
  • 7:00 am: Hike to the Three Lakes Viewpoint (15,420 ft / 4700 m), approximately 3 hours. Beautiful views of the Siula, Gangrajanca, and Quesillococha lakes.
  • Free time for photos and rest.
  • 11:00 am: Return to the Carhuacocha campsite and lunch.
  • 2:00 pm: Hike back to Queropalca (approximately 3 hours).
  • 5:00 pm: Return to Lima in private transportation.
  • 4:00 am (Day 3):Arrival in Lima.

What you must bring for the trek (Packing List):

  • Trekking Boots
  • Camp Shoes/Sandals and extra layers for the trek (pants, shirts, jackets, etc.)

  • Trekking Pants and Sunglasses
  • Coca leaves (optional – helps with altitude)
  • Water Purification Tablets
  • Water Bottle or Canteen
  • Toilet Paper, Headlamp or Handheld Light
  • Snacks (dried fruits, energy bars, etc.)
  • Personal Backpack (Daypack) to carry your belongings during the hike
  • Trekking Poles (if you suffer from knee problems or other discomfort)

  • Important Note on Luggage: You must limit your personal gear to 5 to 6 kilograms (approx. 11-13 lbs) per person for the donkey to carry (trekking gear)
